SU President Issy backtracks on election resignation after taking swipe at opposition candidate

WE’RE OFF!

It’s actually pretty getting pretty busy…

…I hope that’s water there.

Aaaaaand Monwar is lurking round the back somewhere too. That’s a full house right?

Sheikh’s looking confident. But then, earlier today his competition Alex told The Square: “I’ve all but given up now.”

And here are presidential hopeful Yusuf and VP activites hopeful Alex Thorn… things are shaping up at last.
Pity it’s ten minutes late.
Zain makes a show, along with a campaign team buddy. He seems in good spirits.

Craig means business!

CityBar is currently out of Kronenburg & Fosters.
Less than five minutes to go and we’re not looking anywhere near starting yet.
Of course, some candidates arriving would help.
There’s a distinct lack of official student media here covering the sparkling event. Yusuf’s legacy?
The SU gang needs another table. THEY’RE TAKING OVER!
No Yusuf or Monwar though…

Marlis is in the house! The first of the sabbatical candidates to make an appearance…

Building the ivory tower…?

SU exec and fashion-forward Craig Stewart is in action setting up for the election, tonight he’s sporting a flash pink shirt and red patterned tie. He’s bounced back well from this week’s controversy where candidates called him out for outlawing arguments at the election debate…

We’ll be liveblogging this years election results starting in 15 minutes. Enjoy the ride!

Goodbye from the Square. Make sure to join us in the coming weeks for more about your new SU team… goodnight, and have a good one!
